Home Interior Painting – Franklin, IN

This home interior painting project took place in Franklin, IN.  The homeowners recently purchased the home and were looking to have the interior painted before they officially moved into the home.

As you can see in the pictures, the previous paint scheme was yellow and green shades in the living room and kitchen.  The master bedroom was a light red color with an interesting mountain silhouette near the top of the walls. 

The homeowners already had the colors picked out, so it made the faster since we didn’t need to bring in a color consultant. If they did need a color consultant to help choose out the colors we would have provided one free of charge. Although the homeowner could have painted the interior themselves, they chose to use a professional interior painting contractor because they wanted a quality job in a short time frame since the lease on their previous residence was nearing an end.

The project turned out great.  The color scheme was a great choice and the project was done in just a couple days.

One of the things that set Legacy Painting apart from other interior painting contractors is our attention to prep work. There were several drywall repairs and patching that needed to be done prior to painting.  The first day consisted of about 10 hours of prep work.  We had to mask off the trim, kitchen cabinets, windows, doors, some fixtures, drywall patching and caulking.

The second day, we began the painting.  The project called for 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams paint on the walls, except the kitchen had 3 coats to make sure it covered well, plus it had more drywall patching than other rooms due to the wood trim around the center that was removed.

We spend a few more hours touching up the project on the 3rd day of the project before we felt it was complete.

All in all, the homeowner was very pleased with the project and their faces lite up with excitement when they walked in to see the results.
