Shadowbox Fence Staining Broad Ripple Indianapolis
This fence was recently installed and had never been stained. Customer contacted Legacy Painting, a fence staining contractor serving Indianapolis and the surrounding metro, to put together and estimate.
The customer liked our proposal and felt confident that we would do a good job. With some rain delays, we were able to get the project started.
In order to prep the fence, we only had to do a light wash to the fence. If this were a previously stained fence, we would have to be more aggressive with our wash, but new cedar fencing doesn’t need the time that other contractors suggest to weather. Once a cedar fence is installed, it can pretty much be stained shortly after installation. A pressure wash is good just to make sure it’s clean.
Once all the fencing was cleaned and prepped, we applied 2 coats of PPG Flood solid stain in a modified Corundum color. We say “modified” because the customer wanted to tint the wood stain slightly darker.
This fence staining project turned out great and the customer was happy with the results.
