Exterior House Painting – Westfield IN

This homeowner in Westfield, IN was looking for a completely new look for their home exterior. They felt the old paint was bland and they wanted to make a big change. They did a local search for exterior painters Indianapolis that could paint their home and give some advice on color options. After discussing with the homeowner about their goals and options and that we would provide a professional color consultation with one of our color reps, they chose to use Legacy Painting as their exterior painter.

Prep:

Like every home, we started off the painting project with a good pressure wash to clean the surfaces. Once dry, we began our prep work of masking necessary areas and protecting the driveway, A/C, windows, stone, etc. Then we caulked all the necessary joints and bare wood with PPG’s SealGrip which is a great primer we utilize for various surfaces.

Exterior Painting:

Once all prep and priming were complete, we applied 2 coats of PPG Permanizer Exterior Acrylic Latex paint in a Satin sheen to the exterior surfaces. Permanizer is a premium long-lasting exterior finish that’s durable and just an excellent exterior paint.

Exterior Deck Staining:

The deck was previously stained and because of the customer’s color choices, we elected to utilize PPG ProLuxe Solid Stain for the deck to cover over the existing stain. Since we went with a solid stain, stripping the old stain off was not necessary – the solid stain goes over the old stain without issue.

Siding: Green Tea Leaf PPG1128-5
Trim: Off White PPG 1024-1
Accent/Deck: Dark Woods PPG 0999-7
